You never want to fight a battle anywhere against 'weak' enemies, but leave troops at the castle, and/or place them into the reserve slots so the enemy becomes strong at least. ![]() The most important thing you can do on the first island is to fight all the battles where the enemy is listed as strong, very strong, or lethal. This sort of storytelling, in which the audience is trusted to be able to follow along, seems increasingly rare.After playing more (on third playthrough), I have changed my mind about slow. Rather, your character knows what's going on, and you have to pay attention - or, y'know, read older plotstuff again in a newer context, facilitated by the traditional open-world interface. ![]() There's an obvious plot in Tölva, but its intricacies aren't hammered into your sensorium via unskippable cutscene (nor is it then recapitulated in VO when you're given control of your character again). I also enjoy narratives in which what's happening is not explicitly spelled out. ![]() appropriate.? wandering a big open world in search of map icons as eg some sort of hooded assassin-memory or a Far-Cry-mans, but in the context of being some sort of robot-hacker at a workstation, the traditional open-world interface/gameplay/fast-travel/etc makes a lot more sense. That video is spot-on in re how the game harmonizes open-world gameplay elements with the game's feel. The Signal from Tölva is one of the only open-world games I can play.
